CBS Genetics s.r.o. (“CBS”) is a breeding company based in Grygov, Czech Republic. Company has its own AI centre where the laboratory for semen collection and the semen bank.

CBS provides insemination doses from bulls that are currently used on most of leading farms not only in the Czech Republic, but also in other countries. Our offer consists of doses of proven breeders as well as young genomic bulls.

We also provide services associated with reproduction. Provision and performance of artificial insemination, detection of pregnancy, linear evaluation of dairy cows and making individual breeding schedules for dairy cows, offer of embryos as per owner’s requirements, selection of sires suitable for the herd, herd analysis in dairy cows, setting dairy cow / heifer selection criteria, making breeding schedules for heifers.

We are working hard in the area of selective breeding of beef cattle. Breeds particularly covered are Charolais, Beef Simmental, Blonde d'Aquitaine, Belgian Blue, Piemontese and Aberdeen Angus.

Our company executes the purchase and sale of all categories of cattle within the territory of the Czech Republic and abroad.

The breeding programme for Holstein cattle focuses on cost-effective production of milk. We assume that the only a healthy Holstein cow may produce sufficient quality milk.
