Dry Grain Storage in Bags

The Dry Grain Storage System (known as the “GRAIN SAVER SYSTEM”) was discovered about 15 years ago in Argentina and has since expanded worldwide. Storing dry grain in bags offers numerous economic and operational benefits and is one of the alternative ways to efficiently store dry grain in various climatic conditions.

How does dry grain storage in bags work?

During bagging (loading) of grain into silage bags, a large amount of air escapes from the bag, and the remaining air is partially consumed by the stored grain itself, live organisms, and insects. Some of the oxygen is converted into carbon dioxide through cellular respiration. Approximately 30 days after the grain is loaded into the bag, a balance is reached between oxygen and carbon dioxide concentration. After about 45–50 days, cellular respiration stops, and the high concentration of carbon dioxide in the bag makes it impossible for insects to survive.

Grain Bagger D-9

The Grain Bagger is a low-cost grain loader with a large hopper capable of receiving grain from transfer trailers. It can also be filled using telescopic or front loaders.

The Grain Bagger has a filling capacity of 180–250 tons per hour and is designed for tractors with 100–160 HP. Using a 60 m long bag, you can store 200 tons of dry grain. With a 75 m bag, you can store 250 tons of dry grain.

Grain Extractor EM-9

The EM-9 grain extractor boasts high output for both dry and wet grain. It is a high-performance machine, capable of extracting over 100 tons per hour, suitable for both small and large operations.

Grain is removed from the bag using a transverse auger, and then discharged via the unloading auger into waiting trucks or trailers. The silage bag film is wound onto a drum during extraction, remaining clean. After the work is done, you’re left with a clean roll ready for immediate recycling. The machine can be easily operated by a single person.

The EM-9 requires a medium-sized tractor with at least 150 HP. It can be connected to the tractor from the front or rear via a hitch ring, providing greater operational flexibility compared to other machines on the market.

EURO BAGGING 7PLUS Silage Bags

We also offer our EURO BAGGING silage bags for all machines, now produced on the most modern extruder in Europe. The bags are available in diameters from 1.5 to 3.6 meters and lengths from 45 to 150 meters. UV stability is guaranteed for at least 18 months, and there are cases of farms that store certain commodities for up to 3 years without any loss in feed quality.
