Českomoravská společnost chovatelů, a.s. (Czech Moravian Breeders Corporation) is a service organization of all livestock breeders in the Czech Republic, providing breeders with complex services in the area of registration of livestock, including the supply of ear tags and their distribution.
A long tradition within the company has the genetic laboratory, which provides pedigree verification and detection of genetic traits (poledness, β casein....) using the most modern methods (STR, SNP), including the estimation of genomic breeding values. The laboratory is accredited by the Czech Institute for Accreditation including several international certifications (ICAR, ISAG, CDCB) ensuring all type of services from sample logistic, DNA extraction, biobanking and data interpretation.
The milk analysis laboratory provides analyses of milk samples from the milk recording schemes and milk payment system for all standard parameters and indicators. The outputs contribute significantly to food safety, reduction of antimicrobial resistance and general management of dairy herds.
